LAHORE: Under the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the PSCA remains committed to using modern technology to ensure timely and equal protection for all segments of society.

Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has taken a revolutionary and exemplary step to provide timely emergency assistance to hearing and speech-impaired citizens. A special three-day training session in sign language was organized at the Safe Cities Headquarters in Lahore for this purpose.According to details, police communication officers from key departments including the 15 Emergency Helpline, Virtual Women Police Station, Virtual Child Safety Center, and Virtual Blood Bank participated in this training. Sign language experts trained the officers in effective communication with differently-abled persons, accurate understanding of complaints, and timely action.These trained officers will now be able to communicate using sign language and ensure quick emergency response to hearing and speech-impaired individuals. Citizens can now register their complaints directly through video calls, the Women Safety App, or the Safe City website.According to Safe City officials, this initiative brings a ray of hope to a segment of society that is often overlooked. It is a major step toward enhancing safety, rapid assistance, and an inclusive police response system for differently-abled persons.
