Holi Grants Distributed Among Over 250 Hindu Families

LAHORE: Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, visited Tehsil Ahmadpur East, District Bahawalpur, where he distributed Holi Grants to more than 250 Hindu families. A dignified ceremony was held at Jinnah Library, Ahmadpur East, attended by Hindu families from various areas including Yazman, Khairpur Tamewali, and Hasilpur.

Under the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, each deserving family received a grant cheque of PKR 15,000.
Addressing the attendees, Minister Ramesh Singh Arora emphasized that the

Punjab government is taking all possible measures to protect the religious, social, and economic rights of the Hindu community. He noted that, thanks to the minority-friendly policies of the Chief Minister, support is being extended not only during religious festivals but also through multiple initiatives including temple renovation and expansion, educational scholarships, issuance of minority ID cards, and youth training programs.

He further stated that the Punjab government’s comprehensive policies are fostering interfaith harmony and ensuring that the Hindu community receives equal citizenship rights, protection, and access to socio-economic opportunities.
The Minister also highlighted that the recent provincial budget includes new schemes for the Hindu community and that there has been a significant increase in the Minority Welfare Fund.

He expressed gratitude to CM Maryam Nawaz for her personal interest and commitment, which has made these efforts possible.

The event concluded with joyful Holi celebrations, where members of the Hindu community embraced one another and shared festive colors, praying for peace, love, and brotherhood across the world. on the occasion Assistant Commissioner Ahmadpur East, Naveed Haider, along with community leaders and a large number of social personalities were present.
