LAHORE: The Investigation Police of Lahore have successfully solved the murder case of a young citizen who was brutally strangled to death in the Misri Shah area. Both suspects involved in the crime have been apprehended.

DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, took immediate notice of the incident and ordered swift action. Under the supervision of SP City Investigation Farhat Abbas, a special team was formed to track down and arrest the culprits.
In-charge Investigation of Misri Shah Police Station, Waseem Ubaidullah, along with his team, conducted a targeted operation and successfully arrested both accused.
According to SP City Investigation, the suspects murdered the victim, Umar, by strangling him over a minor verbal dispute. After committing the heinous act, the suspects fled the crime scene.
The investigation revealed that both the suspects and the victim were co-workers at the same shop and shared a room in the area. The murder was reportedly committed within their shared accommodation.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza stated that the suspects were traced and arrested with the help of modern technology and human intelligence. He added that now that the suspects are in custody, a strong challan (charge sheet) will be prepared to ensure they face the full force of the law.
He further affirmed that the crackdown against criminal elements in Lahore will continue with full force. “We will deal with criminals with an iron hand,” DIG Raza stated.
In recognition of the successful operation, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed has announced commendation certificates for the police team involved in solving the case.
