Three FIA officers promoted to BS-20 as directors

ISLAMABAD – : The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control has issued a notification announcing the promotion of three senior officers of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from BS-19 to BS-20, following recommendations by the Central Selection Board (CSB) and subsequent approval by the competent authority.

According to the notification (F.No.2/37/2024-Admn-IV), the promotions were approved in line with the recommendations of the CSB meeting held on March 11, 12, 13, and 14, 2025. The officers promoted from the rank of Additional Director (BS-19) to Director (BS-20) are:

1. Mr. Masood Naseem – Promoted to Director (Law)

2. Mr. Sami Ur Rehman Khan Jami – Promoted to Director (Investigation)

3. Mr. Bakhtiar Ahmad Channa – Promoted to Director (Investigation)

The promoted officers will remain on probation for a period of one year, in accordance with Section 6(2) of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, read with Rule 21 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973.

The notification was signed by Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Deputy Secretary (FIA), Ministry of Interior.
