DEHLI (Web Desk) – Bollywood superstar Salman Khan found himself in the news once again on Monday, but this time it was not for a film announcement. A non-venomous snake was rescued from near his residence, the iconic Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai, after a snake wrangler was called to the location. Videos from the scene quickly surfaced online, showing the rescuer calmly tracking and capturing the reptile while officials stood nearby to assist with the operation.
According to reports, the snake was spotted below the apartment complex where Salman lives with his family. The rescuer demonstrated remarkable composure as he carefully handled the reptile with his bare hands, eventually gripping it by the tail before coiling it around his arm to secure it. He later placed the snake into a bag so authorities could safely relocate it. Observers noted that the reptile appeared to be non-poisonous, considering the confident manner in which it was handled. Authorities have not yet confirmed how the snake entered the area or who first alerted the snake catcher.
While the unusual incident grabbed headlines, Salman’s professional journey continues to remain equally talked about. Following the release of Tiger 3, the actor returned to the big screen with Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. However, the film did not achieve the commercial success many expected.
Salman also made a special appearance in Raja Shivaji, directed by Riteish Deshmukh. In the historical drama based on the life of Shivaji Maharaj, Salman portrayed Jiva Mahala. The film went on to create history by becoming the highest-grossing Marathi film ever, surpassing Sairat.
The actor is now preparing for one of his most ambitious projects yet — Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. Originally titled Battle of Galwan, the project reportedly underwent changes to avoid diplomatic sensitivities linked to China. Salman will portray Colonel B. Santosh Babu and has transformed physically for the demanding role. The film, also starring Chitrangada Singh, is scheduled for release on August 14.
Apart from this, Salman is set to appear alongside Sanjay Dutt in the Arabic film 7 Dogs. He is also shooting a large-scale action entertainer with Nayanthara under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally, with production backed by Dil Raju. Reports suggest the film is mounted on a grand scale, with elaborate action sequences currently being filmed in Mumbai.
