DEHLI (Web Desk) – A recent social media post by Salman Khan on X sparked widespread concern among fans after he wrote about the concepts of being “alone” and “lonely.” The message, paired with a photo of the actor showcasing his fitness, was initially interpreted by many as a reflection of his personal emotional state. Fans quickly flooded the comments with supportive messages, reassuring him of their affection and reminding him that he is far from alone. The concern grew to such an extent that even his family members, including his mother Salma Khan, reportedly felt uneasy about the tone of the post.
However, the situation took a turn when Salman issued a clarification. He explained that the post was not meant to describe his own life or feelings. Instead, he emphasized that people often misunderstand the difference between being alone by choice and feeling lonely due to lack of companionship. In his response, he highlighted that he is surrounded by a loving family and supportive friends, along with a massive fan base that continues to show him constant affection. He firmly rejected the idea that he could feel isolated, expressing gratitude toward his supporters and saying he would be ungrateful to suggest otherwise.
Despite this clarification, the post reignited long-standing public curiosity around his personal life, particularly why the actor has remained unmarried. Over the years, Salman Khan has often been labelled Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor, with frequent speculation about his relationships with various co-stars. Many of these rumours have emerged from on-screen chemistry during film shoots, though the actor has repeatedly denied or downplayed such claims.
A perspective from veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, Salman’s father, has often been cited in discussions about his personal life choices. According to Salim Khan, Salman tends to be drawn to strong, career-oriented women, particularly those he works with in the film industry. However, he also noted a fundamental contradiction in Salman’s expectations in relationships. While Salman admires ambitious women, he is also believed to expect a more traditional family structure at home, where his partner would take on domestic responsibilities similar to those performed by his mother during his upbringing.
This mismatch, Salim suggested, can create challenges in sustaining long-term relationships. He explained that Salman often idealises a partner who blends modern success with traditional household roles, a combination that may be difficult for working actresses to maintain. This, according to him, contributes to the actor’s unmarried status.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Salman Khan continues to remain active in cinema and is expected to appear next in Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
