LAHORE:  Under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police’s service centers across the province are actively engaged in providing citizens with easy access to policing services. Every month, millions of citizens in Lahore and across Punjab benefit from over a dozen police services provided at these service centers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that during the current year, a total of 23.7 lakh citizens have availed policing services from these centers. Over 6.56 lakh citizens obtained character certificates, while more than 10.49 lakh people received general police verifications. In addition, 4,333 citizens had private employee police verifications done, and over 2.03 lakh citizens registered their tenant registration of properties. Furthermore, more than 27,000 citizens availed vehicle verification services, while 1.45 lakh people obtained medico legal certificates. Over 74,000 citizens registered the loss of documents, and 5,336 individuals reported crimes at the service centers. Additionally, more than 1.07 lakh citizens obtained copies of their FIRs, and 229 cases of women’s violence were reported. As part of ongoing initiatives for the protection of vulnerable groups, 93,000 individuals were provided legal and social protection, and 2,896 citizens registered under the Employee Registration (ROPE) program. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the police service center is an exemplary service delivery project. He added that based on the feedback received from citizens, policing services are continuously being upgraded to meet the growing needs of the public.
