Minister Kirmani emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring stable and affordable poultry prices in the market. He stressed the importance of maintaining a steady supply chain and announced that the registration of representatives, brokers, and suppliers affiliated with the Pakistan Broiler Association was essential. He added that necessary legal amendments would be made to facilitate this regulation process.

He further assured that the government would fully support the poultry industry through policy reforms, facilities, and resolution of industry challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant Salma Butt revealed that the government is actively considering duty reductions and the launch of an interest-free loan scheme. The initiative aims to help poultry stakeholders establish cold storage units and import advanced machinery to enhance production and preservation capabilities.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Secretary Livestock (Technical), DG Research and Extension Livestock, DG Commodities Imran Qureshi, Consultant Commodities Department Asif Salman Sahi, and other senior officials.
