LAHORE – Pakistan women’s cricket team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka later next month for a six-match white-ball series featuring three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

All matches will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota, providing a single venue for the entire tour.

The ODI series, which forms part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29, will be held on July 23, 25 and 28. Pakistan head into the series in impressive form, occupying second place in the championship standings with eight points from six matches after securing four victories. New Zealand currently top the table with 13 points, although they have played three more games than Pakistan.

Following the conclusion of the 50-over contests, attention will turn to the T20I leg of the tour, with matches scheduled for July 31, August 2 and August 4.

Both teams are currently in the United Kingdom competing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup before renewing their rivalry in Sri Lanka next month.

Pakistan hold a narrow advantage in the shortest format. In 21 T20I meetings between the two sides, Pakistan have registered 11 victories, while Sri Lanka have won nine times. One match ended without a result.

Sri Lanka, however, have enjoyed greater success in ODIs. The two teams have faced each other 34 times in the format, with Sri Lanka claiming 22 wins. Pakistan have emerged victorious in 11 matches, while one encounter produced no result.

The series offers Pakistan an opportunity to further strengthen their standing in the ICC Women’s Championship while continuing preparations for upcoming international assignments against a competitive Sri Lankan outfit.
