ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan and Qatar on Wednesday reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace, stability and diplomatic engagement across the region during a telephone conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The two leaders reviewed recent regional developments and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation. They expressed satisfaction over ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and encouraging dialogue among regional stakeholders.
During the conversation, both sides emphasized the importance of supporting peaceful negotiations and ensuring that diplomatic initiatives continue without disruption. They also underscored the need for collective efforts to maintain stability and economic cooperation in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Qatar’s continued cooperation and support, while the Qatari leadership reiterated its backing for initiatives promoting peace and constructive engagement.
The leaders also discussed matters concerning the Pakistani community living in Qatar and highlighted the strong people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Looking ahead, both countries agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on regional and bilateral issues. The Emir of Qatar also conveyed his intention to visit Pakistan later this year, reflecting the growing partnership between Islamabad and Doha.
