LAHORE: The Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) will host the 26th International Poultry Expo (IPEX) at Expo Centre Lahore from 8 to 10 October. Described as the largest poultry exhibition in the region, the three-day event is expected to attract more than 100,000 local and international visitors and business professionals. Companies from across the poultry value chain, including feed, medicines and vaccines, modern machinery, processing and marketing, will showcase their products, services and technology.
Dr. Rana Sajjad Arshad, Chief Organizer IPEX-2026, and Malik Mohammad Sharif, Chairman IPEX-2026, briefed the media on the expo.
International participation. More than 50 foreign companies have set up dedicated booths this year, and over 500 international delegates will attend. The presence gives Pakistani businesses first-hand exposure to global market trends, new products and advanced technology, along with opportunities for direct business meetings. Exhibitors will cover poultry genetics and chick production; animal health, medicines and vaccines; feed and nutrition; processing equipment; automated and climate-controlled farm management systems; and halal poultry exports.
Poultry Science Conference. A dedicated Poultry Science Conference will run alongside the expo, with thousands of students from major universities across the country expected to attend. Scientific papers will address the latest research, industry challenges such as disease control and production costs, and practical solutions, giving young researchers direct access to industry experts.
Inter-provincial “Nutritious Diet” competition. On the second day, students from universities in all four provinces will compete in a “Nutritious Diet” contest. It aims to highlight the nutritional value of poultry products and the importance of a balanced diet, and to promote healthy eating habits among young people.
Prominent political, social and business figures are expected to attend, reflecting the national importance of the poultry industry and offering a platform to raise its issues at a high level.
According to PPA reports, the industry directly and indirectly employs about 1.5 million people and has attracted billions of rupees in investment. Chicken meat and eggs are the cheapest and most accessible source of protein for ordinary households, making the sector central to the country’s food security. Organizers expect the expo to encourage technology transfer for small and medium farmers, new investment and joint ventures, more jobs across farming, feed, pharmaceuticals, transport and processing, stronger export prospects, and greater involvement of young people in research and careers.
All arrangements for the expo have been completed. Organizers are confident that strong participation from Pakistani and international exhibitors will give the industry fresh momentum and further strengthen the standing of Pakistani poultry in global markets.
Members of the media are invited to cover this important national event so that the public and industry stakeholders are kept informed of its activities.
