Discusses Minority Rights and Empowerment Initiatives in PuPunjab

LAHORE – Dr Bishop Yousaf Nadeem Bhinder, Founder and Bishop of His Grace Churches International United Kingdom, along with a high-level delegation, met with Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs, at his camp office in Lahore. The meeting served as a meaningful platform for dialogue on the pressing issues affecting religious minorities in Punjab and the broader efforts by the Government to ensure inclusion, equity, and protection of minority communities.

During the meeting, Dr. Bishop Bhinder highlighted concerns faced by minority communities, including socio-economic challenges, representation in public institutions, interfaith harmony, and the need for equitable development. He emphasized the importance of continued government collaboration with faith-based organizations to promote peace, tolerance, and community development.
Provincial Minister Sardar
Ramesh Singh Arora welcomed the delegation warmly and reaffirmed the Government of Punjab’s unwavering commitment to the rights and welfare of religious minorities. He highlighted the proactive steps being taken under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who has placed minority rights at the forefront of her administration’s agenda.
Minister briefed about the establishment of Minority Development Committees at the district level to ensure inclusive policy implementation. He also told about the enhanced budget allocations for the education, housing, and health needs of minority communities. Promotion of interfaith dialogue and cultural cohesion through provincial platforms.
Minister Arora also acknowledged the role of diaspora leaders like Dr. Bhinder in building international bridges of cooperation and understanding. He expressed hope for continued engagement between the Government of Punjab and global minority faith leaders to foster inclusive growth and peace.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing mutual goals of equality, dignity, and development for all communities in Punjab.
