LAHORE – The leadership of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has declared full solidarity with the Pakistan Army following the recent escalation along the Pak-Afghan border and the launch of “Operation Ghazab lil-Haq”.

In a joint statement, LCCI President Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh and Vice President Khurram Lodhi said that the country’s business community stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty, integrity and territorial boundaries.
Faheem ur Rehman Saigol stated that while Pakistan has consistently pursued peace and regional stability, any act of aggression against the homeland would not be tolerated. He paid tribute to the soldiers who embraced martyrdom and commended the professionalism, courage and timely response demonstrated by the armed forces.
He further remarked that economic growth and national defence are closely intertwined. “A secure and stable Pakistan is vital for business confidence, uninterrupted trade and sustainable foreign investment. The business community fully supports all measures taken to safeguard our borders and protect national interests,” he said.
Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh emphasised that the nation remains united at this critical juncture. He noted that the political leadership, armed forces and business community are aligned on matters of national security, reaffirming that LCCI members will continue contributing to economic resilience while backing the armed forces.
Vice President Khurram Lodhi reiterated that Pakistan seeks peaceful relations with neighbouring countries but cannot compromise on sovereignty. He urged the international community to play a constructive role in ensuring de-escalation and promoting lasting peace in the region, while respecting Pakistan’s right to self-defence.
The LCCI office-bearers concluded by affirming that Lahore’s traders and industrialists remain firmly committed to supporting all efforts aimed at ensuring Pakistan’s security, stability and prosperity.
