LAHORE: The Founders Group of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) on Tuesday announced its proposed hierarchy for corporate and associate classes during a press conference, reiterating its resolve to stage a “massive comeback” and dispel impressions that the group has been eliminated.

Addressing the media, Founders Group Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim said the organization remains strong, united and deeply rooted in the business community. He rejected claims circulating in certain quarters that the Founders Group had lost its relevance.

“We are very much alive and active. The Founders Group will make a massive comeback and continue to serve the traders, industrialists and business community of Lahore,” he said.

The newly announced structure names Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman as Patron-in-Chief, while Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim will serve as Group Chairman. Haji Muhammad Akram has been designated as Group Senior Vice Chairman and Khadim Hussain as Group Vice Chairman.

For the Corporate Class, Rehman Aziz Chan has been appointed Chairman Corporate Class, with Mian Mansha and Naseer Baloach among the Vice Chairmen. In addition, Sheikh Gulzar will head the Paper Industry and Abdul Basit the Rubber Industry, while a handwritten inclusion noted Naseer Baloch for Printing & Publishing.

Within the Associate Class, Zeeshan Khalil has been named Chairman Associate Class. Several others were given slots including Shahid Dogar, Mian Attiq, Qammer Khalid Nomi, Malik Abzar, Ansar Butt, Haji Islam, and Mahboob Ali Sirki.

The Women Wing will be led by Fareha Younis as Chairperson and Fatima Chadarh as Senior Vice Chairperson.  Najam ur Rehman has been appointed Chairman Legal Affairs.

On the administrative side, Mumshad Shamshed will serve as Secretary General, M. Asim Rafiq as Deputy Secretary General, Rao Khurshid Ali as Secretary Finance, Salak Ashfaq as Secretary Information, Mian Faryad and Fahim Sheikh as Deputy Secretaries Information, and Naila Nadeem as Secretary Digital Media.

Area-wise presidents for the Associate Class were also announced, including Aqif Bajwa (Bilal Gunj), Tariq Javaid (Shah Alam), Haider Saleem (Gulberg), Usman Shabbir (Hall Road), Arif Kashmiri (Urdu Bazar), Ahmad Raza (Bull Road), Haris Rasheed (Queens Road), Waseem Rajpoot, and Hafiz Muhammad Irfan (Paper Market/Paisa Akhbar)

Speaking on the occasion, Zeeshan Khalil reaffirmed that the Founders Group would take along all segments of trade, business and industry. “We are committed to uniting every sector — small traders, corporate leaders and industrialists — to collectively serve the community,” he said.

The leadership emphasized that the reorganization reflects renewed energy and a strategic roadmap aimed at strengthening representation within the LCCI and addressing challenges faced by the business community.
