LAHORE– SP Model Town Investigation Dr. Ayaz Hussain, during a press briefing at Kahna Police Station, shared details of multiple high-profile cases successfully solved by the Lahore Police. Acting on the special directives of DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza, the Investigation Police Kahna and Kot Lakhpat undertook several major operations.

In a murder case registered under FIR No. 1973/25, dated February 14, 2025, a woman’s body wrapped in a sheet was discovered in a sealed tube well near a drain in Kahna. The victim was identified as Surayya Bibi. Police investigations revealed that her nephews, Shahzad and Asif, were responsible for the murder due to a property dispute. After killing her, they transported the body in a rickshaw and dumped it in an abandoned well. Both accused were arrested, and the murder weapon was recovered with the help of modern technology and human intelligence.

In another blind murder case (FIR No. 7213/24, dated August 10, 2024), a young man named Umair was killed near the Railway Phatak in Kahna. The accused, Ahmed, was a co-worker of the victim. According to the investigation, Ahmed attempted to engage Umair in unnatural acts, and upon refusal and fear of being exposed, he killed him with a stone. The accused fled the scene but was later apprehended using digital tools and intelligence gathering.

In a major theft case (FIR No. 35/25, dated January 1, 2025), suspect Adnan was arrested for stealing valuables from a citizen’s flat in Kahna. Police recovered high-end mobile phones including an iPhone 15 Pro Max, Samsung devices, and luxury watches such as Rolex, Hublot, Joefox, and Jimstar, valued at over 2.2 million rupees. The accused, who worked at a shop on the ground floor of the complainant’s building, had made a duplicate key and looted the flat in the owner’s absence.

In another major breakthrough, Investigation Police Kot Lakhpat arrested three members of a professional gang involved in armed robberies and burglaries. The gang, led by Alamgir alias Imran Ganja along with accomplices Ali Raza and Hamza, was found responsible for at least 18 incidents. Police recovered 28 mobile phones, including 10 brand-new boxed sets, a large amount of stolen cash, and illegal weapons from the accused.

SP Dr. Ayaz Hussain stated that all accused have been arrested using a combination of modern forensic tools and human intelligence. The recovered items were handed over to the rightful owners, who expressed gratitude to the police. He emphasized that protection of citizens’ life and property is the top priority and warned that criminal elements will be dealt with an iron hand.
