KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Karachi Transport Alliance on Sunday called off its three-day strike after reaching an agreement with city authorities on several key issues raised by transport operators.
Following discussions with the Karachi administration, transporters received assurances regarding a two-month extension for biometric verification linked to vehicle ownership transfers. Officials also pledged to address concerns surrounding third-party insurance charges.
Public transport services, including buses, coaches and minibuses, are expected to return to normal from Monday, providing relief to millions of commuters affected by the disruption.
Both sides agreed to hold a follow-up meeting in 15 days to review progress on the commitments made during the negotiations.
