LAHORE: The exciting competitions of the 8th Treat World Taekwondo President’s Cup Asia Region 2026 have concluded, with Iran securing the overall top position, followed by Korea and Kazakhstan.
In the Senior Kyorugi category, featuring 16 weight divisions, Iran dominated the event by securing first place with an impressive tally of seven gold, one silver and eight bronze medals. Korea finished second with five gold, four silver and six bronze medals, while Kazakhstan claimed third position with two gold and three bronze medals.
Among other participating countries, Uzbekistan secured fourth position, Thailand fifth, Jordan sixth, Saudi Arabia seventh, Russia eighth and Pakistan ninth in the Kyorugi category.
Pakistan delivered a strong performance in the Poomsae category, securing the top position with three gold, three silver and nine bronze medals. Korea finished second with three gold and one silver medal, while Iran took third place with one gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
Afghanistan secured fourth position, Egypt fifth and Sri Lanka sixth in the Poomsae competitions.
The final day of the championship also featured para-athlete competitions, adding further excitement and inclusivity to the international event.
The tournament brought together talented taekwondo athletes from across Asia and provided a platform for emerging players to showcase their skills at an international level.
