ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The federal government has revised petroleum levy rates on various fuel products, introducing changes to levies, freight margins and other applicable charges.
According to an official notification, the petroleum levy on petrol has been reduced by Rs9.34 per litre, while the levy on high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs8.67 per litre.
Following the adjustment, the levy on petrol has been lowered from Rs116.08 to Rs106.74 per litre. In contrast, the levy on diesel has been raised from Rs44.59 to Rs53.26 per litre.
The notification also stated that the freight margin on petrol has been cut by Rs4.45 per litre, while the freight margin on high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs2.01 per litre.
Meanwhile, incidental charges and duties on petrol have increased by Rs9.30 per litre, whereas similar charges on diesel have been reduced by Rs9.57 per litre.
The dealers’ margin on both petrol and high-speed diesel has been kept unchanged at Rs8.64 per litre.
According to the notification, the levy on kerosene oil remains unchanged at Rs20.36 per litre, while the levy on light diesel oil has been fixed at Rs15.84 per litre. The levy on high-octane fuel has also been maintained at Rs305.37 per litre, while furnace oil will continue to carry a levy of Rs77 per litre.
