This service is not limited to Lahore alone; rather, it has been extended to 952 hotspots across 23 districts of Punjab, including Lahore, Kasur, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhelum, Okara, Sheikhupura, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Muzaffargarh, Hafizabad, and several others. As part of the next phase, and under the Chief Minister’s continued vision, free internet service will also be provided in 450 government girls colleges across Punjab.

The objective is to ensure the safety of female students, provide immediate access to emergency services, and support their educational needs through digital connectivity.

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority spokesperson emphasized that the free WiFi service is intended strictly for emergency and essential use, not for video streaming or entertainment purposes.

This initiative marks a major step toward transforming Punjab into a digitally advanced province under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
