LAHORE – Chairman of the Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF), Faheem ur Rehman Sehgal, has emphasized the need for government support and effective marketing to promote women entrepreneurs and their products. He urged the government to provide guidance to businesswomen in showcasing their products and services.

Speaking at the inauguration of a one-day exhibition organized by “Kisab Kamal” at a private hotel, Sehgal expressed his admiration for the immense potential of Pakistani women entrepreneurs. He stressed that their businesses require full support as women constitute over 54% of the country’s population. He advocated for more such events and called upon chambers, associations, and the public sector to back these initiatives.
Sehgal announced that PIAF would host similar exhibitions at its office, ensuring further business opportunities for women entrepreneurs through platforms like PIAF and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). This would allow greater exposure for their products and businesses.
The event featured handmade products by women and students, including garments, children’s clothing, embroidery, artificial jewelry, handicrafts, shoes, bed linens, fresh and frozen foods, handbags, crockery, and paintings. PIAF Executive Committee member Neelofar Sikandar stated that the exhibition aimed to train women and students, familiarize them with the latest government policies, and create empowerment opportunities. She highlighted that such exhibitions play a crucial role in promoting small businesses, enhancing skills, and integrating women into mainstream economic activities.
