LAHORE: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said the teachings of Hazrat Ali Hajveri continue to promote peace, tolerance, and spiritual enlightenment, as he visited the shrine in Lahore and reviewed its ongoing expansion project.

During his visit to Data Darbar, he was received by Secretary Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta and shrine administrator Muhammad Ali Khan. He was briefed on development work, including a front piazza, hydraulic canopies, land acquisition, and expansion plans.
Dar appreciated the Punjab government’s efforts, particularly Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, calling the project a people-centric initiative to improve facilities for devotees.
He also praised the performance of the Auqaf Department and directed authorities, including LDA and C&W, to complete key work before the Urs in July. He later offered prayers for Pakistan’s prosperity and unity.
