LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif gave in-principle approval for the project to run 1500 electric buses for different cities.

A transport system consisting of electric buses will be started in remote major cities of Punjab in a phased manner.

The process of purchasing 380 electric buses in the first phase has been ordered to be completed as soon as possible.

Electric buses will be run in Lahore and Gujranwala in the first phase.

Agreement has been reached on a new transport system in six districts including Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Rahim Yar Khan, and DG Khan. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a deadline of next June for the Lahore, Gujranwala electric bus service.

Orange and red bus services will be started in Faisalabad. Red bus service will be started from Samandri Road to Sargodha Road and orange bus service will be started from Jaranwala to Jhang Road.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the operation of electric buses in Faisalabad and Gujranwala.

Plan sought for track 15 days for planning of track of Yellow Line electric bus in Lahore.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also sought a plan to establish charging stations for electric buses.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also approved the latest transport tower command and control center in Lahore.

Maryam Nawaz said that I am the Chief Minister of everyone, not only Lahore but also the people of other cities have full right to a modern transport system.

It is desired that every major city of Punjab has a wonderful and modern bus system.

Electric buses will be run in other cities to include everyone in the journey of development.
