LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, paid heartfelt tribute to the brave personnel of Punjab Police on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day. In her message, she said, “I salute the courageous soldiers of Punjab Police who made Pakistan a cradle of peace through their ultimate sacrifice.”

She added, “Some mothers lost their sons, some wives lost their husbands, and some children lost their fathers—so that we could live in safety and peace. The calm in every street of Punjab is built upon the last breath of a martyr.”

The Chief Minister continued, “I salute the mothers who raised brave sons, and those heroes who chose martyrdom over surrender. The blood of our police martyrs is the strongest brick in the foundation of our state.”

She emphasized, “The true strength of a nation lies in its defenders—those who faced bullets without retreating.”
