CCPO reviews Ramazan security arrangements in provincial metropolis

LAHORE, Feb 18:Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana chaired a meeting at his office to finalize comprehensive security arrangements for the holy month of Ramazan.

During the meeting, a detailed briefing was presented on security measures for mosques, imambargahs and major religious events including Youm-i-Ali (AS) and Youm-ul-Quds. The CCPO directed the divisional officers to intensify field monitoring, particularly after Sehri and to ensure regular inspections during Iftar and Taraweeh to maintain law and order across the city.

He also instructed officers to extend full support to the district administration in operations against hoarding and profiteering to facilitate relief for citizens during Ramazan.

Emphasizing proactive policing, the CCPO ordered the deployment of additional personnel at Ramazan Sahulat Bazars, Nighban Dastarkhwan points and Ramazan Nighban Card Centres to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the public.

Reaffirming the department’s commitment to protecting vulnerable segments of society, Bilal Kamyana reiterated zero tolerance for crimes against women and children, adding that Lahore Police would remain vigilant throughout the holy month.

The meeting further reviewed progress on under-investigation cases, pending road certificates and completion of challans. The CCPO directed officers to maintain close coordination with the prosecution department to ensure early disposal of cases in accordance with legal requirements and to deliver timely justice to victims.

DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, SSP (Operations) Tauqeer Mohammad Naeem, SP (Security) Abdul Wahab Khan and divisional SPs attended the meeting.
