LAHORE (Tribune International) – Barrister Aamir Hassan has been nominated as a member of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
PPP Parliamentarians President Asif Ali Zardari approved his nomination, while a formal notification was issued by the PPP Secretariat.
The nomination came after a meeting between Barrister Aamir Hassan and President Asif Ali Zardari, according to the party statement.
Expressing gratitude over his appointment, Barrister Aamir Hassan said that becoming a member of the PPP’s top decision-making forum was an honour for him.
He thanked the party leadership for reposing confidence in him and said he would work in line with the political vision and ideologies of former prime ministers Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.
He added that he would continue his political journey under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Barrister Aamir Hassan said the Central Executive Committee was a powerful platform of the PPP and he would play his role in strengthening the party and advancing its objectives.
