LAHORE –A two-year-old boy named Essa, who was abducted from the Block Shah area of Jhang, was successfully recovered with the help of Smart Safe City Jhang’s advanced surveillance technology.

According to details, the child’s parents immediately reported the abduction by calling Emergency Helpline 15. Upon receiving call, Smart Safe City Jhang team swiftly traced the rickshaw’s number and escape route using nearby cameras, enabling the police to locate and apprehend the woman involved in the kidnapping. Police revealed that the incident stemmed from domestic disputes. The accused woman’s husband had forcibly taken away her own child, and due to personal distress, she abducted another child playing in the street. The suspect was promptly arrested, and the child was safely recovered. A formal case has been registered against the accused, and legal proceedings are underway.According to the Safe City spokesperson, citizens are urged to call Emergency Helpline 15 in any emergency situation to receive prompt assistance.
