LAHORE: A high-level meeting of the non-political organization Old Students Leaders was held at the residence of former student leader Waseem Khan, who serves as the Central Vice President of the group.

The session saw participation from the organization’s top leadership and office-bearers from across Punjab.
The meeting was presided over by the Patron-in-Chief, MNA Riaz Fatyana. Other prominent attendees included Central President Muhammad Asif Chattha Advocate, Provincial Patron Punjab Muddassir Qayyum Nahra (former MNA), Provincial President Punjab Rana Mubashir Ali Khan (PTI ticket holder NA-103), General Secretary Nazar Shah (former MPA), Central Senior President Safdar Jutt Advocate, Provincial Vice President Dr. Shahid Chaudhry, and Central Information Secretary Engineer Adnan Hassan.
Also in attendance were Asim Mumtaz, Mian Atiq, Rana Arif, Wiki Gujjar, Malik Saeed Alam, Nasrullah Warraich, Arshad Shah Bukhari, Chaudhry Tahir Meraj Gujjar (Nankana), Ata-ur-Rehman Farooqi, Malik Javed Khokhar (Sheikhupura), Nasir Khan (Kasur), Malik Umair Sohail Awan, Ata Kasuri, and Dr. Amjad Mustafa.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on the organization’s future strategy, youth mentorship, and the potential role of former student leaders in national politics. The speakers emphasized that the Old Students Leaders platform could play a vital role in promoting national unity, progress, and equality—particularly in the current political climate marked by intense rivalry among parties.
The participants agreed that it is imperative for former student leaders to spearhead a democratic awakening and take steps toward the revival of student unions. They resolved to launch a vigorous campaign for the restoration of student elections in colleges and universities across the country.
Furthermore, a committee was formed to oversee the organization’s structure and representation in Lahore Division, District, and City. The committee has been directed to submit its report within seven days, after which key appointments will be finalized.
