LAHORE: In a decision, the District Civil Court of Jhang has declared Sahibzada Hazrat Sakhi Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo as the rightful and 10th Sajjada Nasheen (custodian) of the revered Darbar Hazrat Sultan Bahoo RA, following a prolonged legal battle spanning 23 years.

This decision has been warmly welcomed by devotees of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo RA across Pakistan and around the world.

The court ruling, issued on March 27, 2025, grants Sahibzada Hazrat Sakhi Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo the official status of custodian of the shrine, effective from the holy night of 27th Ramadan.

The judgment recognized him as the legitimate spiritual successor to the sacred legacy of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Sultan Bahoo RA, a prominent Sufi saint known for his teachings on divine love, selflessness, and spiritual enlightenment.

This announcement has been received with great enthusiasm and reverence among spiritual followers, traders, and industrialists, particularly in Lahore, the heart of Pakistan’s economic and cultural activity. Business leaders, members of trade bodies, and industrialists have extended their warm congratulations to Hazrat Sakhi Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo, pledging their unwavering support for his spiritual leadership.

Prominent figures from Lahore’s business community, including representatives from the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), welcomed the decision, emphasizing its significance in preserving the spiritual heritage of the Darbar Hazrat Sultan Bahoo.

Several leading industrialists highlighted the importance of spirituality in fostering peace, harmony, and ethical values within society.

Business leaders stated, “We wholeheartedly welcome the court’s decision and extend our full support to Sahibzada Hazrat Sakhi Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo. The spiritual guidance emanating from the Darbar of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo has been a source of inspiration for generations, and we are confident that under his leadership, the teachings of Sultan Bahoo R.A. will continue to enlighten and unite people.”

LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad echoed similar sentiments, noting, “The Darbar Hazrat Sultan Bahoo is a beacon of spiritual enlightenment and moral guidance. We are grateful that the rightful custodian has been recognized after such a long legal process. This decision is a testament to the rule of law and the preservation of our spiritual traditions.”

The Darbar Hazrat Sultan Bahoo, located in Shorkot, Jhang District, holds immense significance as a center of spiritual teachings and Sufi heritage. Hazrat Sultan Bahoo RA, a 17th-century Sufi mystic and poet, devoted his life to spreading the message of divine love and self-realization. His teachings, encapsulated in his writings, continue to inspire millions of devotees worldwide.

Sahibzada Hazrat Sakhi Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo, son of Hazrat Hafiz Muhammad Faiz Sultan Bahoo, inherits not only the spiritual legacy of Sultan-ul-Arifeen but also the responsibility of guiding the devotees in their spiritual journey. Devotees are hopeful that his leadership will uphold the sanctity and teachings of the shrine.

Following the court’s decision, Sahibzada Hazrat Sakhi Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo issued a message of gratitude, urging devotees to unite in their commitment to the teachings of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo R.A. “This is not just a personal victory but a triumph for all who revere the teachings of Sultan Bahoo R.A. Together, let us continue to uphold his legacy of love, compassion, and spiritual awakening,” he said.

Devotees from across Pakistan and abroad have already begun preparations to celebrate the formal ceremony of his investiture, which is expected to take place in the coming weeks. Thousands of followers are expected to visit the shrine to pay their respects and renew their spiritual connection.

The protracted legal proceedings, which lasted for over two decades, reflect the complexities surrounding such matters of spiritual and familial legacy. The peaceful resolution of this dispute through the judicial system has been praised as a significant achievement. Legal experts have lauded the court for its thorough deliberations, ensuring that the decision is grounded in justice and fairness.

As Pakistan’s rich spiritual heritage continues to play a vital role in shaping the moral and ethical fabric of society, the declaration of Sahibzada Hazrat Sakhi Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo as the 10th Sajjada Nasheen of Darbar Hazrat Sultan Bahoo R.A. is expected to usher in a new era of spiritual revival and unity.
