LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that transparency is the appointment of judges is key to improve the judicial system . Justice delayed is tantamount to justice denied. He said this during a meeting with the newly elected Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Tahir Nasrullah Warraich at the Governor House Lahore.

Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that provision of justice and rule of law is essential for the development and stability of the country. He said that people sitting in high positions will have to make decisions on merit. The Governor Punjab said that justice and equality are essential for a healthy society. The Governor of Punjab said that the judiciary should not be dragged into politics.

He said that the credit for the 26th Constitutional Amendment goes to the PPP. The Governor of Punjab said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was judicially murdered for not getting timely and proper justice. He said that admitting mistakes and regretting later is meaningless. The Governor of Punjab said that people have to wait for many years to get justice. He further said that the Pakistan Peoples Party believes in democracy and the party leaders have made immense sacrifices to maintain the continuity of the democratic system. The Governor of Punjab said that there is no doubt that the legal community has always played a positive role in the promotion and stability of democracy. The Governor of Punjab said that young lawyers are standing side by side with the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto. He said leadership of PPP is committed to solving the problems of the legal community on priority basis.
