LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab is the 10th largest region in the world by population, where maintaining law and order, crime control, public service delivery, and the welfare of the force are among the top priorities. IG Punjab mentioned that services for overseas Pakistanis have been provided at 42 embassies worldwide through Punjab Police khidmat centers. Nearly 100,000 overseas Pakistanis have benefited from Punjab Police’s online services. Dr. Usman Anwar also shared that all data of the police force has been upgraded to a paperless Human Resource Management Information System, facilitating professional tasks. He shared these thoughts during his address to the trainee ASPs who were on a study tour at the Central Police Office today. IG Punjab instructed the young police officers to adopt modern policing, public service, and the open-door policy as guiding principles.
According to the details, the trainee ASPs from the 52nd Common visited the Central Police Office. The delegation included 40 trainee ASPs, including 08 female officers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar addressed the trainee officers, answered their questions, and provided insights into various aspects of police operations. MD Punjab Safe Cities Authority, Ahsan Younas, DIG Operations Punjab, Waqas Nazir, briefed the delegation on the professional matters and workings of Punjab Police. CTO Lahore, Ammara Athar, informed the young police officers about the ongoing upgrades at the Central Police Office. The ASPs also visited various departments, including the museum, constabulary lounge, and the classroom at the Central Police Office. The trainee officers were given a detailed tour of the CTO office, DIG VVIP Security, and the Abshar Police Service Center. IG Punjab and the trainee officers exchanged commemorative souvenirs. DIG Operations Punjab, Waqas Nazir, MD Safe Cities Authority, Ahsan Younas, CTO Lahore, Ammara Athar, SSP Safe Cities Authority, Mustansar Feroz, SP Security, Manza Karamat, and ASP Defense, Sheher Bano were also present during the event.
