LAHORE – Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad has directed all ground authorities and zonal officials to ensure close coordination and cooperation in ground availability, match scheduling and administrative arrangements for upcoming Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Lahore Region competitions.

In a statement, Khawaja Nadeem said the first phase of the school cricket programme in Lahore Region would conclude successfully on November 2, 2026, with a total of 132 matches scheduled.
He attributed the programme’s progress to the joint efforts of ground authorities, the tournament committee and the Cricket Operations Department, praising their planning, coordination and professional commitment.
The LRCA president said ground authorities had played a key role in providing venues and making necessary arrangements, while the tournament committee supervised the competition and the Cricket Operations Department handled scheduling, appointment of match officials and other administrative matters.
He congratulated all departments and officials for their contributions to the successful organisation of the school cricket programme.
Khawaja Nadeem said the second phase of the school cricket programme would be announced soon, while the schedules for the Lahore Region Under-15 and Under-17 Cricket Championships were also being issued.
In view of the busy cricket calendar, he directed ground authorities and zonal officials to minimise or avoid scheduling zonal matches on dates when PCB or Lahore Region fixtures were planned. The move aims to ensure the availability and timely deployment of match officials.
He further instructed that whenever the PCB or Lahore Region Cricket Association allocates matches to a particular ground, existing private bookings and zonal fixtures on those dates should be cancelled or shifted to alternative dates.
He emphasised that grounds allocated for PCB and Lahore Region competitions must remain fully available for those fixtures, which should receive priority in venue allocation and administrative arrangements.
The LRCA president said the association was committed to promoting cricket activities in an organised, transparent and professional manner.
He expressed confidence that ground authorities, the tournament committee and the Cricket Operations Department would continue working together to promote cricket in Lahore Region and provide better opportunities to young players.
