LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore has arrested a Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) employee for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs8,000 from a citizen.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the accused, identified as Shahid Imran, was serving as a lineman at the LESCO Thokar Niaz Baig subdivision.
The accused allegedly demanded and received Rs8,000 from a complainant in exchange for facilitating an official matter.
An FIA team arrested him red-handed while receiving the money.
A case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway, the spokesperson added.
