LAHORE: Newly elected Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Executive Committee member Firdous Nisar has thanked the traders, industrialists and members of the Lahore business community who voted for and supported the PIAF Progressive BNF Alliance (PPBA) in the LCCI 2026-28 elections.
In a message following the conclusion of the election process, Firdous Nisar expressed gratitude to all those who extended their support to the alliance and its candidates. She said the confidence shown by members of the business community carried a responsibility to continue raising issues concerning traders, industrialists and entrepreneurs.
Firdous Nisar said she deeply appreciated the support received from the business community throughout the election campaign and polling process. She said the participation of traders and industrialists reflected their continued interest in the affairs and future direction of the LCCI.
She described the election contest as closely fought and said the results had provided important lessons for the PIAF and PPBA leadership and candidates. She said the group would continue engaging with the business community and working to strengthen its representation within the chamber.
Firdous Nisar said she believed the PIAF and PPBA would make a strong comeback in future elections under the leadership of Mian Anjum Nisar, whom she described as the Chairman and Patron-in-Chief of the group. She said the business community faced a number of challenges, including taxation, energy costs, regulatory issues, access to finance, industrial competitiveness and the need to promote exports. She maintained that continued engagement between the LCCI and policymakers was important for addressing these issues.
Firdous Nisar also thanked those who supported her personally during the election and said she would continue playing her role as an LCCI Executive Committee member in accordance with the interests of the business community.

She said the election had concluded, but the responsibility of representing the business community continued. She pledged to remain accessible to traders and industrialists and to contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening the chamber’s role as a platform for business representation.
