LAHORE – The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections 2026-28 will be held today as members of the Corporate Class exercise their right to vote amid comprehensive security measures and well-organised polling arrangements by the chamber administration.
The election atmosphere has remained highly competitive, with different business groups, including the Vision Alliance and the PPBA-backed group, completing their campaigns and approaching voters ahead of polling day.
The PPBA-backed group, which has remained a significant force in Lahore’s chamber politics, is contesting the elections with its panel of candidates. The group has highlighted its experience, continuity and role in representing traders and industrialists at various forums.
The Vision Alliance, comprising representatives of different business groups, is also contesting the elections with its candidates and has focused its campaign on business facilitation, stronger representation, economic challenges and addressing issues faced by the trading and industrial community.
Meanwhile, the LCCI management has finalised extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth, transparent and disciplined election process. Security measures have been strengthened around the polling area to facilitate voters and maintain an orderly environment throughout the voting process.
Entry management, voter verification, polling staff coordination and other administrative arrangements have been put in place to ensure that members can cast their votes conveniently.
Business community members have appreciated the efforts of the LCCI administration for making arrangements aimed at ensuring a peaceful and efficient electoral process.
The polling staff and election management teams have been assigned responsibilities for different stages of the process, including voter facilitation, ballot handling and maintaining the election procedure.
The LCCI Executive Committee elected through this process will represent Lahore’s traders, industrialists and entrepreneurs for the 2026-28 term. The committee is expected to play a role in raising business concerns related to taxation, energy costs, trade policies, industrial growth and ease of doing business.
With intense campaigning concluding, attention has now shifted towards polling day, where eligible members will decide the future composition of the chamber’s elected leadership.
The Associate Class polling will be held on September 24, according to the election schedule.
