LAHORE: Former Vice President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Mian Zahid Jawaid has narrated that the Vision Alliance, under the chairmanship of Mian Misbah Rehman  and the leadership of presidential candidate Ali Hussam Asghar, has developed strong support within the business community and is confident to deliver a significant performance in the upcoming LCCI elections.

Mian Zahid Javed said the level of consensus developed around Vision Alliance reflected the confidence of traders and industrialists in the group’s vision and leadership. He said the alliance had brought together representatives from different segments of Lahore’s business community on a common platform focused on addressing economic challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

“The level of consensus and coordination achieved by Vision Alliance is exemplary,” he said, adding that the group’s campaign had gained momentum because of its engagement with traders, industrialists and business associations.

He said Ali Hussam Asghar’s leadership had provided direction to the alliance and helped create an atmosphere of unity among business stakeholders. According to him, the alliance had presented a roadmap focused on improving business facilitation, strengthening institutional representation and highlighting the concerns of the private sector.

Mian Zahid Javed said the LCCI played an important role as a bridge between the business community and policymakers. He added that effective representation was needed to address issues related to taxation, energy costs, regulatory challenges and difficulties faced by businesses in their daily operations.

He expressed confidence that the Vision Alliance would receive strong support from members of the business community. He said the response received during the election campaign demonstrated the engagement and interest of traders and industrialists in the chamber’s future direction.

“Business leaders want a chamber that listens to their concerns and effectively presents their viewpoint at relevant forums,” he added.

The former LCCI vice president said the upcoming elections would provide an opportunity for members to choose representatives who could work for the promotion of trade, industry and investment in Lahore.

He maintained that the Vision Alliance’s campaign was based on consultation, unity and a commitment to strengthening the role of the chamber as an effective platform for the business community.
