LAHORE: Vision Alliance presidential candidate for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Ali Hussam Asghar, has stepped up his election campaign, appealing to corporate and associate-class voters to support the alliance in the upcoming chamber elections.
He was addressing a luncheon held in honour of Vision Alliance and hosted by PBG Vice Chairman Tahir Malik and Executive Committee candidate Ejaz Ghori. The Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association and Air Cargo Agents Association hosted the gathering, which attracted hundreds of voters from the corporate and associate classes.
Ali Hussam Asghar thanked the business community for its participation and sought its vote and support for Vision Alliance, as the campaign for the LCCI elections gathers pace.
Founders Group Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim also attended the event and appealed to voters to support the alliance and its candidates.
LBF Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Amjad was among the prominent participants. Vision Alliance panel candidates Muhammad Ali, Dr Hamid Raza, Shahab Basharat, Faisal Liaquat and Syed Mardan Zaidi also attended the luncheon.
Other participants included Syed Yousaf Shah, Haji Muhammad Akram, Chaudhry Khadim Hussain, Rao Khurshid, Masood Alam Butt, Sardar Usman Ghani, Dr Shehzad Mahmood, Asif Siddiq and Agha Iftikhar Ahmed.
Corporate and associate-class candidates also participated in the gathering, while LCCI Executive Committee member Asif Malik thanked the guests for attending.
The sizeable participation of corporate and associate-class voters gave Vision Alliance an opportunity to intensify direct engagement with Lahore’s trade and industry community ahead of the elections.
The gathering provided Ali Hussam Asghar and the Vision Alliance panel with a platform to directly seek support from a broad cross-section of LCCI voters.
With polling approaching, both corporate and associate-class voters are expected to remain the focus of intensive campaigning as competing groups seek to consolidate support across Lahore’s business community.
