LAHORE — The Founders Group secured a substantial momentum boost ahead of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Elections 2026, receiving a unanimous declaration of support from key commercial factions in Shah Alam Market.

In a major political development for Lahore’s business community, Malik Muhammad Ejaz—President of the Tajir Ittefaq Group and Patron-in-Chief of the Quaid-e-Azam Group—officially announced his alignment and full backing for the Founders Group. The endorsement came during a high-profile reception held at the Shah Alam Electric Market, where local traders and industrial leaders assembled to extend a warm welcome to the visiting leadership.

Grand Welcome in Shah Alam Market

Upon arrival, the leadership delegation of the Founders Group—headed by Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim, Senior Vice Chairman Haji Muhammad Akram, and Vice Chairman Chaudhry Khadim Hussain—was received with immense enthusiasm. Accompanied by Associate Class Chairman Zeeshan Khalil, Rao Khurshid Ali, and Salik Ashfaq, the team was greeted with traditional drumbeats, celebratory cheers, and showers of flower petals organized by Malik Muhammad Ejaz and his associates.

The alliance signifies a strategic consolidation of trader factions within Shah Alam Market, one of North Pakistan’s pivotal wholesale trade hubs.

Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim & Chaudhry Khadim Hussain Lead Strategic Push

Addressing the gathered traders, Founders Group Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception and highlighted the significance of securing support from Shah Alam Market’s influential networks.

“The inclusion of Malik Muhammad Ejaz and his dedicated associates represents a decisive political turning point for the Founders Group in Shah Alam Market. This partnership strengthens our core mission to represent every sector of Lahore’s commerce effectively and ensure robust economic growth for the trading community.” — Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim, Chairman, Founders Group

Standing alongside him, Vice Chairman Chaudhry Khadim Hussain emphasized the group’s ongoing commitment to structural trade reforms, advocating for direct engagement between policy-makers and ground-level merchants. Chaudhry Khadim Hussain reiterated that the Founders Group remains focused on delivering tangible solutions to local commercial challenges, including infrastructure upkeep, tax simplification, and market facilitation.

Unanimous Pledge and Candidate Nomination

Speaking on behalf of the local business community, Malik Muhammad Ejaz affirmed that a vast network of merchants across the Electric Market and broader Shah Alam district stands united behind the Founders Group platform, pledging dedicated efforts to secure a clean sweep in the upcoming chamber polls.

During the event, Adeel Babar was informally nominated as a candidate for the election. Outlining his campaign vision, Babar vowed to maintain active presence on the ground:

  • Direct Representation: Transitioning focus from policy offices directly into market streets to address real-time grievances.
  • Trader Welfare: Prioritizing immediate resolutions for utility, operational, and administrative obstacles facing small-to-medium retail owners.
  • Institutional Accessibility: Keeping leadership channels permanently open for continuous feedback from market association heads.
