NEW YORK (Web Desk) – FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed that US President Donald Trump will attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup final and take part in the trophy presentation ceremony.
The tournament’s final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium, where the world champions will be crowned. Infantino said he expects to watch the match alongside Trump before jointly participating in the post-match celebrations.
Speaking about the event, the FIFA chief expressed enthusiasm about sharing football’s biggest occasion with the US president and celebrating with the winning team after the final whistle.
Trump has not attended any matches during the tournament so far. However, officials from the White House World Cup Task Force said his demanding schedule has limited his availability, while emphasizing his longstanding interest in major sporting events.
