KARACHI: The government of Sindh on Friday presented Rs3.056 trillion budget 2024-25 with focus on development and welfare, with 30 per cent increase in salaries of government employees.

The public sector employees have been granted 30 per cent to the employees of Sindh ranging from grade 1 to 16, while officers in grade 22 will enjoy 22 per cent increase in their salaries.
The government also decided to raise the pension of government employees by 15 per cent and set the new minimum wage at Rs37, 000.
The budget allocates Rs959 billion, or 31 per cent, for development projects, highlighting a strong commitment to infrastructure and social service.
The budget priorities social production , with Rs34.9 billion allocated for pro-poor initiatives and RsRs116 billion in subsidies to alleviate the financial burden on citizens.[:]
