DEHLI (Web Desk) – Veteran Bollywood star Anil Kapoor marked a deeply personal milestone on Tuesday as he celebrated 42 years of marriage and 53 years of companionship with his wife, Sunita Kapoor. Instead of a grand public celebration, the actor chose to reflect on the quiet strength of their relationship through an emotional social media post that quickly resonated with fans and celebrities alike.

Sharing a collection of treasured photographs on Instagram, Anil offered a glimpse into the couple’s enduring bond. Among the images was a nostalgic picture from their wedding day, accompanied by candid moments from different phases of their life together. The post was less about glamour and more about gratitude, highlighting how their love story has remained grounded despite decades in the spotlight.

Looking back on their wedding, Anil fondly recalled how simple the ceremony had been. There were no extravagant festivities, no luxurious honeymoon, and no media attention—just close family members, a few loved ones, and two people beginning a lifelong journey together. He reflected on how a brief 30-minute ceremony unexpectedly turned into more than five decades of shared memories, calling their union one that was “made in heaven.”

The actor also credited Sunita for being the strongest pillar in his life and career. In his heartfelt note, Anil acknowledged that her unwavering support gave him the confidence to pursue ambitious dreams and take professional risks throughout his career. He described her as the force that kept everything together behind the scenes while he focused on work and filmmaking.

Calling Sunita his “best friend,” “partner,” and “everything,” Anil thanked her for choosing him every day for the past 53 years. His touching tribute ended with a hopeful note about continuing their journey together for many more years to come.

The anniversary post received warm wishes from several members of the film industry, including Chunky Panday and Bhumi Pednekar, who congratulated the couple in the comments section. Their daughter, Rhea Kapoor, also celebrated the occasion by reposting the message on her Instagram Stories with a sweet note for her parents.

Anil and Sunita’s love story dates back to the late 1970s, years before the actor rose to superstardom. Introduced through mutual friends, the pair reportedly first connected over a prank phone call. Their relationship gradually evolved from friendship into a lasting romance, and after dating for nearly a decade, the couple married in 1984—building one of Bollywood’s most admired partnerships along the way.
