[:en]LAHORE: Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nawaf bin Saeed Al Maliki called on Punjab Governor, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at Governor House Lahore. During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, Pakistan-Saudi relations and promotion of Saudi investments were discussed.

Talking on this occasion, Governor Punjab Saleem Haider Khan said relations between Pakistan and Saudi are deeply rooted in shared religion and culture. He added that the Pakistani government and people hold great love and reverence for Saudi Arabia. He said that Saudi Arabia has always offered support to Pakistan in every difficult time. Governor Punjab thanked Saudi Arabia for its continuous support to Pakistan at international forums. He said that Saudi investors should invest in Pakistan adding that there is conducive environment for foreign investors in Pakistan. Governor Punjab said that President Asif Ali Zardari and the incumbent government are determined to increase foreign investment. Governor Punjab further said that the Muslim Ummah should raise its voice at international forums against the atrocities of the Israeli army on the Palestinian people.
Saudi ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki said that Pakistan is like his second home. He said that the role of Pakistani workforce in the development of Saudi Arabia is commendable.

Later, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan was met Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at Governor House Lahore. Both counterparts congratulated each other on assuming the office of Governor. Both the leaders reiterated their commitment to promote relations between Punjab Province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
Speaking on this occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem said that everyone should play a role for the development and stability of the country. Governor Punjab said that all parties including the opposition should be on the same page for the development and prosperity of the country. . He said that the country’s economy is moving towards improvement. Governor Punjab further said that he will play a positive role in improving the communication between the federation and the province.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi said that the improvement, development and law and order of the province is a priority. He further said that communication between Punjab province and Kyber Puktoon Khwa will be increased at the public level.

Furthermore, a delegation led by Member Punjab Bar Council and President People’s Lawyers Forum Central Punjab Raheel Kamran Cheema called on Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at the Governor’s House.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider said that the Peoples’ Party believes in the promotion of democratic values and supremacy of the constitution and law. He said that he will fulfill his duties as the constitutional head of the province. He said that the lawyers’ community has always played a significant role for the supremacy of law and the stability of democracy and its continuation.
On this occasion, Member Punjab Bar Council and President People’s Lawyers Forum Central Punjab Raheel Kamran Cheema gave a detailed briefing to the Governor of Punjab regarding illegal cases and arrests of lawyers and unfair distribution of courts. The delegation comprised President PLF District Lahore Syed Ali Imran Naqvi Advocate Supreme Court, President PLF Lahore High Court Syed Qamar Abbas, General Secretary PLF. Lahore High Court Khurram Zia Bhatti and PLF Gujranula Division Prince Irfan Awan.
