MULTAN: Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, has said that the timeless teachings of great Sufi saints illuminate the path of spiritual enlightenment, compassion, and universal harmony, offering a profound message of peace and unity for all humanity.

During his visit to Multan, he paid reverential visits to the shrines of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya, Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam, and Hazrat Musa Pak Shaheed. He offered Fateha and prayed for the prosperity and stability of the country.
At the shrine of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (RA), Dr. Ehsan Bhutta inspected the water filtration plant and complaint register, and issued directions to ensure the provision of maximum facilities to Zaireen and visitors. He emphasized that all necessary measures should be taken to enhance service delivery and address public concerns promptly.
The Secretary also reviewed the progress of the new Zonal Administrator (ZA) Office and Langarkhana being constructed by the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA). He directed the concerned authorities to expedite the pace of work and ensure completion within two months strictly in accordance with the quality and quantity parameters defined in PC-1.
During his visit, Secretary Auqaf also specifically inspected the development works at the shrines of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam (RA) and Hazrat Musa Pak Shaheed (RA), being carried out by WCLA.
He directed that all ongoing work be completed within six months in line with the approved PC-1, ensuring strict adherence to prescribed quality and quantity standards. He further emphasized that construction of washrooms and ablution areas should be treated as a priority and completed within two months to facilitate Zaireen.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta reiterated that providing modern, clean, and dignified facilities to devotees remains a top priority of the Auqaf Department. He affirmed that the Government of Punjab is committed to preserving and promoting the spiritual and cultural heritage of Sufi shrines, recognizing them as enduring symbols of peace, tolerance, and unity.
Deputy Commissioner Multan Khalid Javaid Goraya, Senior officers of the Auqaf Department, local administration, project authorities accompanied the Secretary during the visit and briefed him on the progress of ongoing schemes.
