LAHORE: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan regarding the Police Martyrs Package, in which the provincial minister was briefed on various packages for police martyrs. The meeting was informed that three different types of packages are being provided for police martyrs, which are approved by a high-level scrutiny committee. According to the briefing, this committee also includes the concerned Divisional Commissioner along with the RPO or CPO to ensure transparency and merit.
Provincial Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said on the occasion that police martyrs are the pride of our nation and no kind of injustice should be done to them. He clarified that protecting the families of the martyrs is a common duty of all of us. Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan directed that all records related to the police martyrs package be presented in the next meeting so that every issue can be examined in detail. He paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and said that it is because of these great sacrifices that we are breathing in free air today.
Additional Director Legis 1 Muhammad Nader, Section Welfare Police Home Department Tahir Raza, Assistant Director Ghulam Murtaza and other concerned persons were also present in the meeting.
