LAHORE: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that if the government deems it appropriate, the flood victims should make an international call for relief. Now is the time to provide relief to the victims and put them on their feet.

The Pakistani nation will emerge victorious from this challenge too, God willing. He was addressing a ceremony at the Peko Road distributed a relief package of Rs. 1.25 lakh each to the flood-affected families of Chiniot, Kasur, Muzaffargarh and Multan. The ceremony was presided over by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider. General Secretary Hassan Murtaza, Information Secretary Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Faisal Mir, Shahida Jabeen, Sabt Hassan, and Shahbaz Durrani were also present on the occasion. The relief package included beds, clothes, cots, bicycles, solar lamps, kitchen equipment, health kits, solar lamps and one month’s ration. The affected families were served breakfast before the ceremony. He was also honored. Addressing the ceremony, the former Prime Minister said that I was very happy to come here and see the relief package for the flood victims. This aid is a message that we have to fight the disaster together. He said that Pakistanis are a brave nation. The federal and Punjab governments are also engaged in the work. Helping the victims by considering any sorrow as collective helps them. Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the victims are very respectable Pakistanis and Faisal Mir has set a great example. The People’s Party is a party of the common man which stands with them in times of difficulty. He said that the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Punjab are also visiting the victims. The People’s Party will do whatever it can for the victims. Governor of Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider, while addressing the relief ceremony for the flood victims, said that the People’s Party does not want to score points on the flood. We will continue to serve until the victims are settled in their homes. Faisal Mir has done a unique job for which he deserves praise. He has proven it by providing them with all the necessities, from bicycles to He said that the flood is a huge disaster that has affected Punjab on a large scale. People’s houses have collapsed and livestock and crops have been washed away. He said that I have provided assistance in Jhelum, Chakwal, Chiniot, Nankana Alipur, Muzaffargarh with the Red Crescent and Sweet Home, Lahore Chamber, Geo Pak and Sweet Home. With whom are we starting a relief package of one billion? The Governor of Punjab said that the PPP is a party of the poor. The Chairman sent hundreds of camps to the affected areas. Syed Hassan Murtaza, General Secretary of the PPP Central Punjab, said that Faisal Mir’s spirit has become an example for the entire PPP. We will have to work together for the rehabilitation of the flood victims. Information Secretary Shahzad Saeed Cheema said that tributes are due to Faisal Mir, who has implemented the party philosophy, the Punjab government I say this is not politics, it is time for service. He said that civil society has worked hard in Chichawatni and Kamalia. The government has not arrived. This is not point scoring.
