LAHORE: Secretary Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department Punjab Dr Ehsan Bhutta has said that Punjab’s rich cultural heritage is attracting the visitors with exciting developments in museums and archaeology. Is was stated by him during his visit to newly established Museaum in Multan. He was welcomed by DD/ SDO Archaeoly Sajjad, Manager TDCP Haider Raza , Rep.of DC Deputy Director Developmwnt and other concerned officers.

Dr. Ehsan Bhutta said that newly initiatives of the department highlight Punjab’s commitment to preserving its cultural heritage and promoting tourism, making it an exciting destination for visitors and a hub for archaeological exploration.
The Secretary visited whole state of the art building which was allocated by Ex-Commissioner Javed Mehmood to whom ex-Secretary’ TAM requested in 2022. He desired to get artifacts etc arranged in 4 galleries within one month. He also desired to plant trees etc and grass cutting in one week. After visit, a meeting was held with concerned officers to review any building damaged during flood, development projects in Bahawalpur (Derawer fort , Moj Garh fort , Taunsa Barrage resort by TDCP, Ghazi Gatt project etc).
He also checked Site, seeing bus progress which needs improvement and tasks were given to TDCP team to arrange students trips and include newly established Mulran Museum and Harapoa Museum Gallery in Tour plan.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta also told the representative of Deputy Commissioner to provide place for SSB in Multan Fort where new terminal be developed for benefit of general oublic and Tourists. He appreciated efforts for completion of building by C&W and DOA and start of SSB in Multan which are gifts from Tourism, Archaeology and Museums department.
