Lahore (Syed Qamar-ul-Hasan Naqvi):
Chinese company W&G International (Pvt.) Ltd. has issued a clarification in response to recent reports circulating against it, terming the claims as “baseless and misleading.”
According to a statement from the company’s spokesperson, all official documents of the firm are duly notarized by Chinese government authorities and verified by the China Chamber of Commerce, which are internationally recognized.

The spokesperson added that certain elements are deliberately spreading false allegations to damage the company’s reputation.
The company maintained that since 2010, W&G has been consistently supplying utility poles to various Pakistani distribution companies, including LESCO, GEPCO, MEPCO, SEPCO, PESCO, IESCO and others. In 2023, under the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission’s K2 and K3 projects, W&G provided 132kV poles for K-Electric. The company stated that these poles were type-tested at China’s CEPRI Laboratory under the supervision of the international certification body Bureau Veritas.
The clarification further noted that in 2024, W&G supplied 220kV poles to K-Electric, which were successfully installed, and that the relevant EPC company issued a formal supply certificate to W&G. The company also pointed out that it has supplied poles under Asian Development Bank (ADB) and World Bank funded tenders, with no record of default in any of its orders to date.
Referring to complaints made against it, the spokesperson alleged that the local agent of another Chinese pole manufacturing company—who filed the complaints—has himself defaulted in tenders with LESCO and IESCO.
The company also highlighted that a LESCO inspection team visited W&G’s factory between August 3 and August 7, 2025, and subsequently issued an official inspection certificate on August 7.
