LAHORE – President of PML-N and Advisor to the Prime Minister of Punjab Rana Sanaullah has said that the political career of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is over, claiming that its founder and supporters are not interested in politics but in spreading sedition, chaos, and anarchy. He also condemned the egg-throwing incident on Aleema Khan.
Speaking to the media at the Punjab Assembly, Rana Sanaullah criticized PTI’s stance on boycotting elections, saying, “What kind of boycott is this? They take papers from the Election Commission, complete the entire process, and then go to the High Court. The court has not stopped this election. This is not a boycott, it is an escape route.”
He claimed PTI had lost confidence in its members, noting that “ten or twelve of their people wanted to vote for me, but I forbade them from voting against their party.”
Rana Sanaullah further said that PTI’s founder had promoted a culture of abuse in politics. “Politics progresses through dialogue, not deadlock,” he remarked. He added that when PML-N advocated talks in the past, PTI rejected dialogue, claiming it would be an NRO.
The PML-N President emphasized that the “victory of truth” was visible to the world, crediting political and military leadership for recent successes, and asserting that Pakistan had never achieved such gains before.
