ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released a comprehensive report on the devastation caused by ongoing monsoon rains, stating that 819 people have died and 1,111 others sustained injuries across the country since June 26.

According to the report, at least 14 people died due to floods nationwide in the past 24 hours, including 13 in Punjab. District-wise, the fatalities included five in Sialkot, four in Gujrat, one in Wazirabad, and three in Narowal, while one death was reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The report added that one person was injured in Punjab and three in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the past 24 hours.
Since June 26, Punjab has recorded the highest toll with 182 deaths and 594 injuries. Sindh reported 479 deaths and 350 injuries. In AJK, 28 people lost their lives while 29 were injured, whereas Gilgit-Baltistan reported 41 deaths and 52 injuries.
The NDMA further reported that 6,138 livestock have perished, 8,658 houses have been completely destroyed, and 238 bridges have collapsed due to the rains and floods.
