KASUR – Acting Governor of Punjab Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan attended the Independence Day flag ceremony at Ganda Singh Border as the chief guest, where the event commenced with the national anthem followed by an impressive parade by the disciplined soldiers of Pakistan Rangers.

Addressing the gathering, the Acting Governor said August 14 is a day of sacrifices, struggle, and the realization of the dream of freedom. He paid glowing tribute to the priceless sacrifices of millions of Muslims who lit the torch of independence.
Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan stated that the victory in the battle for truth has rekindled the nation’s patriotic spirit. Protecting Pakistan’s borders, he stressed, is not merely a duty but an article of faith. “The Pakistani nation is invincible – vigilant and ever-ready to defend its homeland at all costs,” he remarked.
Emphasizing national unity, he said, “We are not Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi, or Pashtun first – we are Pakistanis, and that is our true identity.”
Expressing his resolve, the Acting Governor declared, “InshaAllah, the day is not far when Pakistan’s flag will also wave over Occupied Kashmir.” He said the massive public participation at the event was proof of the eternal bond between the Pakistan Army and the people.
The ceremony resonated with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Paindabad,” while the passion and zeal of the Pakistan Rangers left a lasting impression on attendees.
