LAHORE: The Executive Development Institute (EDI) of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore conducted a 2-Days’ Training Workshop on “Project Managment” on Wednesday 02nd to Thursday 03rd July, 2025.

EDI organized a 2-days’ Project Management Training Wrokshop to address multifaceted national and regional challenges, emphasizing agility, accountability, strategic principles, stakeholders dynamics, technological trends and evolving legal regulations.
Around 30 attendees representing a diverse mix of professionals from both public and private sectors participated. Among the key organizations in attendance were HEC, Civil Aviation
Authority (CAA), Airport Security Force (ASF), Ministry of Defence Production, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of Sindh, President Secretariat, WAPDA, SNGPL, NUML, AKS & Company, Sindh Emergency Rescue Service, Khawaja Fareed University, PASC, NIPA & NIPP from NSPP, Lahore. The event provided an invaluable platform for cross-sector collaboration, fostering insights into advanced project management techniques and leadership development.
In the formal opening session, Dr. Naveed Elahi, Dean EDI, welcomed the participants and highlighted the institute’s commitment to empowering senior professionals with advanced strategies for addressing complex public policy challenges. He noted that EDI is dedicated to bringing together professionals from various sectors to enhance their understanding of project management in the rapidly changing development landscape.
Following the Dean’s remarks, Mr. Kamran Ahmad, Director EDI, emphasized that the workshop covers core domains of project management, including conceptual frameworks, strategic planning, stakeholder & communication management, financial oversight, legal compliance, monitoring and evaluation. The workshop has undergone a redesign, incorporating sessions on legalities in project management and an innovative module on technology in management. The workshop also highlights the Kamyab Program for Grassroots Financial Inclusion, a public-private partnership aimed at extending microfinance and economic opportunity to underrepresented communities.

The topics covered were Technology in Management: IoT, AI and New Tools, Why Projects fail in Pakistan? Project Communications & Stakeholders Management, Project Financial Management, Social Sector: Kamyab Program for Grassroots Financial Inclsion (PPP Program): Planning, Assessing, Monitoring and Risk Management, Project Monitoring & Evaluation and Legalities in Project Management.
Participants exhibited a strong interest and took an active role in all question-answer sessions. The participants expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the high-quality execution of the training workshop. After the last session, Dean EDI distributed certificates amongst the participants.
